"HOLLYWOOD stars Bob Hoskins and Stockard Channing will be in Merseyside this week filming their latest movie.
The pair are starring in Sparkle, about Liverpool singer Sam Sparks who is aiming to break into the big time.
The lead role is taken by Liverpool-born actor and former Teachers star Shaun Evans.
The 17-day shoot is expected to generate 100 temporary jobs with around 38% going to Merseyside-based crew and a further 48% being awarded to workers from other parts of the north west."
From a TV Squad interview with Christopher Gorham from Out of Practice:
"Stockard [Channing] was still doing some episodes of The West Wing while she did your show, right? How'd she pull that off?
Christopher Gorham: No, she'd just go after work. Because 3 days out of the week, we'd only work like five hours, so she'd just go after rehearsal."
