"With the end in sight, the Bartlet administration is moving closer to the Sun.
SUN TV has acquired the final five episodes of The West Wing. The Emmy-winning NBC drama is ending its seven-season run May 14.
The former Canadian rights holder, CTV, has not been able to cram The West Wing onto its hit-rich Sunday night schedule for several seasons. SUN TV plans to simulcast the final five West Wing episodes, starting April 16 at 8 p.m.
That episode, Requiem, will bring president Bartlet (Martin Sheen) together with several former cast members -- including Rob Lowe -- for the funeral of departed colleague and vice-presidential candidate Leo McGarry (John Spencer, who passed away last December).
Tomorrow night's episode, only available in Canada on Buffalo NBC affiliate WGRZ, will reveal the winner in the season-long presidential campaign between Republican Senator Arnold Vinick (Alan Alda) and Democrat Matt Santos (Jimmy Smits). ""
