"They were talking about diversity (gender, age, race) among the writers and directors. Janel Moloney basically said that she didn't care about the gender, age, or race of the writers--she just wants the writers who does the best work.

*tearing up*

She just said that she shot her final scene of West Wing today."

Lizabeth posted at Televison Without Pity:
" In the beginning she was asked a, "Who is your mentor?" And she mentioned some acting teacher.

Then she was asked about diversity in the work place ie, how many people of color, women, and people over 50 do you have on your writing/producing staffs. Janel Moloney then started to talk about how she didn't care about those things if the writings good (a lot of them were catering to 'oh we need more women and people over 50') and that Aaron Sorkin was a 40 year old white boy genius."

"Janel Moloney looked fabulous!....

The mentor she mentioned was Roy London, her acting teacher. Last year a documentary came out about Mr. London and featured Janel Moloney. She was also very complimentary of John Wells and how he tries to get others involved in writing and directing. Janel Moloney mentioned that several years ago he had even asked her if she was interested in directing, which she didn't think she was because of her immersion in the character. But it seemed like it would be something she wishes she had taken him up on."
