"West Wing" Ratings Report - Week 3

From the AP:
"The West Wing" was seen by just under 8 million people last week; competitors "Cold Case" on CBS and "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" on ABC each drew nearly double the audience.

NBC said it anticipated a decline with the move, and that "The West Wing" probably would have been hurt if it stayed on Wednesdays with competition from ABC's "Lost" and Fox's "American Idol."

"Readers tabbed “Joey,” NBC’s Thursday lead off, as the season’s most disappointing returning show by a large margin, 38.9 percent. The network also has the second-most-disappointing show, “West Wing,” chosen by 16.1 percent of respondents."

"On Sunday, Oct. 9 at...8PM ET, "The West Wing" (2.4/6 in 18-49, 8.0 million viewers overall) was up 14 percent in 18-49 versus both its lead-in and versus its week-ago performance."

"'Cold Case,' 10.3/16, moved CBS into the lead at 8 p.m., with 'Extreme Makeover: Home Edition,' 8.7/13, taking over second place for ABC. FOX's baseball coverage was third at 7.1/11, while NBC held steady with 'The West Wing.' 'Charmed' scored a 2.5/4 for The WB."

"NBC saw its dramas "West Wing" (2.5/6 in 18-49, 8.1 million viewers overall) and "Law & Order: Criminal Intent""Law & Order: Criminal Intent" (3.8/8 in 18-49, 12.5 million viewers overall) improve vs. last week, while "Crossing Jordan""Crossing Jordan" (3.8/9 in 18-49, 12.9 million viewers overall) remained the No. 2 entertainment choice at 10."
