"Our interview with Aaron Sorkin, creator of The West Wing ('Wing and a prayer', Review, 10 July) repeated press speculation that he would 'hole up in a room at the Four Seasons hotel in Los Angeles and consume huge amounts of crack while, at the same time, producing huge numbers of pages for the show'. We now accept that this is untrue. We were also wrong to say that he had his first spell in rehab in 1995: it was his only stint. Furthermore, we said he was now in a new relationship with Megan Gallagher and yet she was his fiancee 15 years ago. Apologies for these errors."
Because of Martin Sheen's admiration for James Dean, he will be supporting the renovation of Fairmount High School, Dean's Alma Mater.
